Prof. Mahmood Shivji is the new director at the US Shark Foundation
After more than 20 years in office, Gary and Brenda Adkison decided in early 2020 to step down as directors of the US subsidiary of the Shark Foundation, the US Shark Foundation. We are extremely grateful for their loyalty and enthusiasm for sharks and wish them every success for their future.
We are very pleased that Prof. Mahmood Shivji, one of the world's leading shark experts, has agreed to become new Director of the US Shark Foundation. Dr. Shivji is Professor at the Department in Biological Sciences at Nova Southeastern University (Daenia Beach, FL, USA), Director of the Guy Harvey Research Institute and the Save Our Seas Shark Research Center. The Shark Foundation has been working with Prof. Shivji for 20 years and supports his various, very successful shark projects.
